Welcome to “Twenty Thames” in Portland’s vibrant Ocean Gateway neighborhood. Living here places you in walking distance to many of the city’s best restaurants, cafes, shops, and ferry terminal. If you spend a lot of time working in the Portland area or want to experience an extended stay spanning the seasons, this location is an ideal choice. The condos are graciously appointed with hardwood floors, extra high ceilings, ample windows for natural light, heat pumps. gas fireplace and sleekly designed kitchen. 

The “Twenty Thames” building was completed in 2021 and features the newest technology in design and engineering, including Triple E glass and superior soundproofing. There is one parking space included in the rental and there are short term spaces connected to the entrance for unloading groceries or guests. The shared lobby has a comfortable couch, local art, mailroom, valet closet including a rolling luggage rack and elevator. To enter the building there is a security code that changes every 24-hours. 

Kitchen & Living: Upon entering Unit #41, there is a welcoming sitting area and closet to store shoes, coats and bags. Once you turn the corner into the gracious living and kitchen area, the wall of windows framing the city skyline makes quite a statement. With soaring ceilings, the room is full of natural light throughout the day ending with a sunset that you can enjoy from the dining table; during the warm months, the glass windows slide open for ocean-tinted fresh air. All of the windows have privacy and light blocking screens operated via remote control. 

The kitchen and living area are open concept, which is ideal for entertaining. We like to say that Apex kitchens are meant to be used and this one has a chic design, with tall white glossy knobless cabinets and refrigerator; gas range; dual ovens, coffee maker and toaster oven. Living here places you close to some of the best farmers markets, fishmongers, cheese and specialty shops in town; although we don’t judge if you choose from the abundance of restaurants over cooking. 

For lounging, there is a comfortable living area with soft blue sectional couch, two arm chairs and coffee table facing the flat panel TV and gas fireplace. 

In the kitchen hallway, there are large closets for pantry items, linens, cleaning supplies and more. 

Bed & Bath: There are two bedrooms in Unit #41. 
The primary bedroom is located off from the living area and has a full ensuite bathroom. Cozy up in a comfortable queen bed upon a white wooden frame. There are two nightstands with several drawers and reading lamps. A large “pass  through” closet leads to the full ensuite bath, which includes a tiled shower and vanity.  

The secondary bedroom is accessed via a private hallway that is lined with a large closet. A picture window allows for sunset views of the city; there are privacy screens to cover. There is a queen-sized bed, flanked by two night stands and reading lamps. This room can also be used as a home office as there is a desk and the area can be closed off from the rest of the condo. 
The secondary bedroom is next to the full bathroom that is also for guest use. There is a bathtub and tiled shower, floating vanity with sink and storage as well as a mirrored medicine cabinet.  

Location: As Portland grew over the past decade, this area was developed into an Eastern waterfront neighborhood; the ocean is just one block away. New buildings, including the corporate headquarters for WEX, hotels, elevated restaurants and a proposed seaside park surround this location. Within a few minutes walk, you can be in the Old Port, financial and arts 
district. Biking and walking trails are abundant in this area and Boston is 100 miles away.
