Unit #408 is on the top floor with both stair and elevator access, and includes one uncovered parking space. The owner has impeccably furnished the space in a manner that is both chic and comfortable. This condo is a spacious one-bedroom and please note the bedroom has a partial wall between the dining area and entryway; there is not a door that closes the bedroom off completely. 

113 Newbury #408 is ideal as a pied a terre for those who spend a lot of time working in Portland or for an individual or couple looking to experience an extended stay in Maine. Kitchen & Living Space: With soaring ceilings and a large skylight, the kitchen and living space is filled with a natural glow as the day passes by. There are hardwood floors throughout with thoughtfully placed area rugs, art and plants. Lighting options are plentiful, including gallery lighting, chandeliers, table and floor lamps. Several windows line the far wall allowing for views, fresh air and light.

Even though the living, dining and kitchen are in one spacious room, it is brilliantly designed with separate vignettes. For the first snowfall of the season, hunker down with a long-forgotten book in front of the gas fireplace on the royal blue couch or soft gray rocking chair. For movie nights, there is plenty of room to spread out with friends on the camel-colored leather couch in front of the flat panel TV. While the sun is setting, cheers with a cold rosé on your private patio that has seating for two. For when work calls, there is a sleek white desk that has flip-up outlets to make charging your laptop or phone very convenient. 

Living in downtown Portland puts you in the enviable position of choosing which farmers market, cheese shop, fishmonger or specialty food store you will visit to stock the kitchen. (Of course, we will never judge if you find yourself in a restaurant instead.) The kitchen here is a home cook’s dream, with a six burner gas range and oven, custom hood, stainless refrigerator and dishwasher. There is a large quartz-topped island with an inlaid sink and breakfast bar with seating for four. Gray cabinets with bronze handles offer an abundance of storage, including under the island. 

A wooden dining room table with six chairs sits beneath a striking chandelier made from blown glass pendants; this is certainly the artistic focal point of the room. 

For additional storage, there are also two closets in the entry hall for cleaning supplies, linens or coats. 

Bed and Bath: 

Nestle in the peaceful room decorated in serene grays and creams. The delightfully comfortable queen bed is made with our standard luxurious linens. Flanking the bed are two glass nightstands with reading lamps. A large closet is retrofitted with custom shelving for maximum usage. 

The full bathroom has cream tile floors and printed wallpaper that feels like spring is about to bloom. Enjoy a rain shower in the glass shower after a long day exploring the city. There is a vanity with two sinks and plentiful storage under the vanity, behind the trio of mirrors, and above the toilet. A stacked washer and dryer sits in its own nook opposite the vanity. 

Additional: There are three heat pumps for temperature control and high speed WiFi. The gas fireplace and privacy screen for the sky light have remote controls. The building’s street entrance is accessed by passing through two security coded locks. You will use a key fob to enter through the covered parking entrance. To enter unit #408, there is a key code panel as well as a back-up metal key. 

Tenant is responsible for Electricity.  All other utilities are included in the rent.
