Description

Welcome to 108 Park Street #2 in Portland. From the moment you walk down the tree-lined row of stately brick townhouses, you will feel the energy of old Portland. Built in the 1830’s, these homes have maintained their stoic charm on the outside including a shared courtyard with ivy crawling up to the roof line. 

Located on a quiet, one way street, 108 Park Street places you in the heart of Portland’s art district with the nationally recognized Portland Museum of Art two blocks away. You are steps from Congress Street, where restaurants, shops and culture await you. In less than a five minute drive, you are in the Old Port district and waterfront area, where there is a magnificent collection of local favorite eateries, galleries, spas and shops. In 20-minutes, you can be at one of the local beaches or islands for a relaxing Maine experience. 

Unit #2 is a new addition to our portfolio of downtown rentals and is for stays longer than 30-days between April and November. The apartment has been completely renovated respecting original features such as ceiling medallions, transoms and wide-plank hardwood floors. This property includes one reserved parking space for the duration of your stay. 

Note: This urban property is a second-floor walk-up. There is no elevator access. 

Living Space/Kitchen: Located on the second floor, this apartment is a lovely blend of entertaining and relaxing space. With ten-foot ceilings, decorative fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating for hosting friends or colleagues, the living space has an airy and spacious feel. There are large windows that can be left open for full natural light and warm breeze, or close the shutters and privacy curtains for enjoying an afternoon movie or nap. Decorated with reds and yellows that accentuate the honey-toned wood floors, plus an “art wall” that captivates the eyes, the space is warm and inviting. Guests love the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves with a sliding ladder...choose your new favorite read and plop into the beanbag or art deco chairs. 

There is a small office off of the living room that can be closed off for privacy. There is a desk with two red “legs” that double as storage, plus more whimsical art and a window that overlooks the peaceful street. 

Continuing the open-concept feel, the dining area leads from the living room into the kitchen.  There is an antique wooden table that seats four plus a bench if more people come over for coffee. The kitchen is roomy for an in-town apartment. There is ample tiled-counter space for cooking plus a breakfast bar for serving and eating. With custom cabinets, open shelving, full-sized appliances and a wine rack built above the sink, the kitchen can be stocked with local produce from the farmers market, plus your favorite provisions from the shops that are in walking distance from your front door.   

Bedroom/Bathroom: The bedroom and bathroom are situated down the hallway that has several hooks for coats and bags, a bench, plus Portland-themed art from the neighborhood this apartment is located in. Painted in a cheery yellow, the large bedroom has a queen-sized bed, a closet, armoire, shelving and one large window. Over the bed is a striking piece of art featuring abstract trees and lemons that is a gorgeous accent piece. 

The bathroom is across the hall from the bedroom up two-steps. There is a stand-up shower, large window and shelves for storing your personal belongings. 

In the back of the townhouse is your reserved parking space and a shared courtyard which is a lovely space for enjoying morning coffee, evening wine or to just relax with your thoughts. 108 Park St. #2 is in walking distance to the museum, shops on Congress Street, the waterfront and Old Port. It is superbly located for one looking to relocate to Portland or experience an extended stay in the heart of downtown.
