Available for the first time in Summer 2020, this gloriously appointed home, beautifully decorated in a classic seaside manner, sits on a terraced yard overlooking 180-degrees of ocean views. The five bedroom/ four bath home has cathedral ceilings in the living area, two raised sleeping areas for added privacy, outdoor decks and dining areas, kayaks and a large dock.  With a massive yard to roam and play, beach access, gourmet kitchen and plenty of space to sprawl and relax, this property is truly a one-of-a-kind retreat for your vacation or gathering. 

A new service that Apex Luxury Rentals offers for our guests: We have partnered with Rosemont Foods and Bakery to offer grocery and food delivery during your stay with us. You can have a la carte items delivered--from local beer to farm produce--to curated meal boxes that we have designed with all of the ingredients you need for a lovely dinner in your home or an al fresco picnic. We will send you more information with your check-in email about this and additional services we recommend. 

Main Level: Upon entering 34 Fogg Point Road, you are placed in the center of a massive living area with hardwood floors, towering ceilings and ample windows that stare out over the lush lawn and ocean. To the left, there is a cozy sitting area with floor-to-ceiling granite fireplace and an antique captain’s wheel that sparks fantasies about its past. The other end of the living space has a large flat-panel TV, media center, ample seating for rainy afternoon movies and a game table. Three fans twirl overhead against the original wood ceiling. 

Sunken off this wonderful entertaining area, there is a slate-floor sunroom, perfect for early morning coffee and late evening card games...although you may be easily distracted by the expansive view that gazes out to the neighboring island. 

The dining room sits a few steps up from the fireplace section off the living area, complete with a table for eight, bar cart, rope chandelier, granite fireplace and dark wooden beams, which adds an old-world ambiance to your dinner party. Continuing into the chef’s kitchen, there is a breakfast bar that seats three, dark slate counters atop warm wooden cabinets and stainless Viking appliances, including a gas range and commercial-sized refrigerator. The kitchen is stocked with anything you could require from wine glasses to lobster pots. 

Off of the kitchen there is a butler’s pantry with coffee machine, wine fridge, additional storage, sink, full laundry room and mudroom (with outdoor access) where you will find beach chairs, life jackets and towels for your use. There is also a bathroom with a large standing shower tiled with gray and white marbled tiles to wash off those sandy toes. 

Passing by the media center area of the living area, there is a wing with three bedrooms: One cozy bedroom with twin beds and one bedroom with a queen bed, dresser, closet and water views. These bedrooms share a full bathroom with two sinks. At the end of this wing, is the scrumptious en suite Master bedroom with a fireplace, private patio, sitting room, dressing room and giant bathroom with French-style toilet. The master windows have serene water views. 

Second Level: The additional two bedrooms are located on two upper floors accessed by stairs at either end of the living space. The larger of the two spaces located over the media center end of the living room is great for a handful of kids to share as it has a two queen beds, a futon, and a sitting area.  There is an elevated patio off this room that can be accessed from the ground level spiral staircase or by climbing out of the window, depending on your mood.   In addition, there is a full bathroom.

The second bedroom over the dining room has a queen bed with three windows and a skylight allowing the soft morning rays to filter in. 

Outdoor Living: With plenty of space to explore, swim and roam, this sprawling acreage is a dream for kids and kids at heart. You can walk or drive down to the private dock, which is a wonderful spot for fishing and launching the guest kayaks. Kayak around the point and across the way to enjoy Lanes Island. There are two patios for sunning and reading, one dining area with a grill and table for eight.

Freeport: Known for outlet shopping, seafood restaurants and LL Bean, Freeport is so much more. With miles of natural trails at Wolfe’s Neck Farm, the beach at Winslow Park--which is very close to this property--and miles of coast to explore, it is a wonderful hub for your stay. Portland is a mere 15-minutes away and there are State Parks and beaches 20-minutes in either direction.
