What a delightful surprise it was to return to our lovely home on Park St. and see the thoughtful bundles of gifts on our door. Everything is perfect! We remembered living in Camden when the guys (Stonewall Kitchen) opened the very first satellite store. Now? The World! And the GS Thin Mints! Another icon. Did you know we collect cookbooks? Our vacation is almost ended. We will be sad to leave. We had only wonderful weather and enjoyed the beach very much. We rented a wonderful house for six weeks and loved it so much we are returning next year. The unit was as described and more than fulfilled our expectations. The furnishings were very tasteful and comfortable to live with, with lots of special luxuries. The kitchen was very usable with all the amenities any cook would want. The management was accessible for questions and would be for any issues that might arise. Best of all, the house was very clean and neat. A perfect place for a vacation or a long stay. What a perfect week I spent with my 6 yr. old grand-daughter at the Grand Victorian #511. We took the 2 hr. train from Boston and arrived 3 blocks from the condo. My grand-daughter made friends at the pool and we invited them to front row seats for thursday night fireworks on our balcony. It rained one day, so we walked to a discount bookstore, bought a game at the toy store and some sweets at the candy shop. I can not imagine a more convenient location, on the beach and close to restaurants and stores. The condo was nicely decorated, clean and had everything we needed. The condo unit 411 was everything and more than we expected. We rented from Chris Kelley at Apex Luxury Rentals. She was excellent and quick to find us what we were looking for. We had 8 people in our party and we all had plenty of room. We didn't even use the pull out couch in one bedroom and the one in the living room. The kitchen has everything, fridge with water and ice maker, dishwasher, range top on counter, stove, quality coffee machine, disposal, toaster, etc; nice granite counter tops. Place was immaculate when we arrived. We came early to spend the day on the beach before we checked in at 4:00PM. To our surprise we asked the staff if there was a chance of early check-in and she informed us the room was ready at 11:30AM. The staff was courteous and always eager to help with everything from questions, vale ting the car or even helping us to our room with our groceries for the week. Had a few minor issues that were promptly fixed by the maintenance people within an hour. They were awesome as well. You can't get any closer to the heart of Old Orchard beach. Our balcony overlooked Palace Playland, along with spectacular views of the ocean. I think the biggest treat was watching the fireworks from our balcony. With the Ferris wheel as a backdrop, it looked like a postcard. It felt like our own private show. I've been coming to Old Orchard Beach for 30 years and this place will be home for me from now on. We had a great time staying at the Grand Victorian with it's beachfront access right in the heart of downtown. Everything you need is within walking distance. Our condo was very comfortable and clean with nice furnishings and all the amenities we needed without having to bring everything from home. Apex Beach Rentals provided great service. The most memorable service was fresh Maine lobsters right from the boat delivered to our front door, boat price lobsters and no additional cost for the delivery, it was amazing! -Grand Victorian Guest Summer 2009
This place is amazing! We thought this condo was up scale and had beautiful marble counter tops and hardwood floors. The two balconies gave us fabulous views of the ocean and unforgettable seats to the fireworks on thursday nights. The condo had everything we needed to cook for the family and the washer/dryer came in very handy during our week at the beach. We parked the car and didn't drive anywhere all week since everything is within walking distance. How wonderful to have the discription of your vacation spot far surpass your expectations-location -OMG-On the ocean what a view from our terrace -a few feet away -immaculate living quarters -above and beyond staff - my family came to visit and parking was prvided for them at no charge -they will be renting next year -I did cook in a fully equiped kitchen -so clean and easy to acces eveyrthing but when i did not cook i had hard choices the myst was wonderful the surf for lobster -all fast food that cannot be beat -amusement park a few yards away and pier where you can find anything -indoor pool salt water was wonderful on rainy and sunny days -I have not finished exploring things yet but this is wonderful for all ages -I have already rented for next year -we are planning a family reunion there. great place tobe around great owners and staff -bought all my gifts downstairs at life is good -can't say enough about this place --i recomend this to everyone i Know -even told and emailed my customers -see you next year. -Grand Victorian Guest Fall 2009
We have vacationed in this unit for the last two years and have been delighted with the accommodations and the responsiveness of our agent Chris. It is meticulously maintained, the linens are clean, plush, and in abundance, and the kitchen is equipped for an accomplished chef! But who needs a chef when you can walk to several nice restaurants, or hit the pier for french fries or fried dough? If you like to sleep-in, this unit is nestled into the architecture such that outside noises are very limited. Once you get yourself out of bed, you can enjoy a cup of coffee on either one of the two balconies that look out onto the ocean. I hit the fitness room every day and never had to fight for a piece of equipment. The cable TV and wireless internet service is a plus and you cannot beat the amenities. If you want to park the car and enjoy the sites, you can get to most places on foot. We have just returned home from our annual trip to the Grand Victorian. My family lives in Tennessee and we have other family in Maine. We have picked Old Orchard Beach to have our reunion. We have stayed in different places, but have picked the Grand Victorian for the past five years! The staff is now like part of our family, too. Everyone is so kind and helpful during our stay. The condo is superb! Everything is so clean. We love being in the middle of all the activites of Old Orchard Beach. Our family fully enjoyed our experience at The Grand Victorian. The staff was very attentive and extremely nice. The hotel common areas were very clean and our unit was beautiful! The whole experience was wonderful and made for a very relaxing vacation, which was made possible by Chris from APEX rental. Upon finding out our original hotel we had booked would be under construction, we needed to find new accomodations quickly. Chris was extremely helpful and easied our worries by showing us this wonderful unit. She saved our vacation and could not have been nicer. Thank You again to Chris and APEX. Rented a 3 bedroom unit on the fifth floor through Chris Kelley at Apex Rentals. We were really happy with the service we received from her and she was very friendly. This was our second time renting at the Grand Victorian. We stayed on a lower floor last year on the opposite side. We were overlooking Palace Playland this time and it was very noisy as it was last year when we stayed on the other side of the building but that is absolutely what we expected. It is in the heart of OOB at the center of everything. Bring a couple of fans and plug them in at night if the noise bothers you. I would much rather stay at the Grand than any other accomodations in OOB. The condos are spacious, the pool and exercise room are never overcrowded and you just walk out the doors to the beach. The staff were really friendly and helpful and always had a smile and a nice word to say to my children. We LOVE it there. My kids have been asking to go back again this year ever since we got home and frankly, I'm seriously thinking of giving in to them. -Grand Victorian Summer Guest 2012
